Plessislaer cops arrest three suspects

2012-07-09 00:00

PLESSISLAER police arrested three suspects for robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and housebreaking in the Plessislaer area. The suspects, aged between 16 and 22, allegedly broke into a house in Imbali and stole electrical appliances and a vehicle.

It is alleged that they used the stolen vehicle to commit other robberies in the area.

“They allegedly accosted a woman and robbed her of an undisclosed amount of money and her belongings. The suspects then sped off. Plessislaer police were alerted about the suspicious vehicle and swiftly acted on the complaint,” said police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane.

The suspects were arrested and the vehicle was recovered. “It was established that the vehicle was stolen during the housebreaking in June.”
