Police seek info on burglary

2013-11-01 00:00

POLICE are appealing for information on a recent burglary at a sports equipment shop in the city.

According to police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane, Jackson’s Sports in Victoria Road was broken into and various sporting goods, valued at R120 000, were stolen on October 12.

He said it is believed the thieves entered the shop through a toilet window and cut the cables to the alarm. They helped themselves to sport bags, soccer and rugby boots, takkies, jackets and cricket kit.

Zwane said the bags can be identified by the name “Manline Energy” printed on them.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Warrant Officer Jude Dorasamy on 033 845 2781 or 072 932 0773, or Crime Stop on 086 001 0111.
