Power to be turned off in parts of Hilton

2012-10-08 00:00

PARTS of Hilton will be without power from 7.30 am until 3 pm tomorrow and on Thursday, Msunduzi Municipality announced.

The same will apply on weekdays between October 15 and October 31.

The outages will be applied to enable the upgrading of two overhead powerlines that supply electricity to Hilton, said spokesperson Brian Zuma.

“The community of Hilton was advised during the public meetings that the electricity supply will be interrupted during construction as we have to switch off one of the lines.”

A schedule for the outages for November 2012 will be released towards the end of the month. — WR.
