Reggae superstar Sean Paul to launch ‘Big Brother All Stars’

2010-07-15 00:00

JAMAICAN reggae/dancehall superstar Sean Paul is set to take centre stage at the launch of M-Net’s Big Brother All Stars on Sunday.

The Grammy award-winning artist will perform three of his hits before 14 house-mates from 14 African countries make their way into the Big Brother house in Johannesburg on a mission to win $200 000.

Sean Paul has released four albums to date — Stage One, the Grammy winning Dutty Rock, The Trinity and Imperial Blaze. The Kingston-born singer has also collaborated with hip- hop stars 50 Cent, The Clipse and Busta Rhymes and recorded duets with Estelle (Come on Over), Rihanna (Break It Off) and Beyonce (Baby Boy).

M-Net has also revealed that the Big Brother house has been transformed from the gritty space used in last season’s Big Brother Revolution to something a lot more contemporary, streamlined and luxurious.

Exactly who will occupy this glamorous new house is yet to be revealed. All M-Net will say is that the show will feature some of the “most unforgettable, outspoken, and entertaining house-mates of previous editions”.

And, since the house-mates have played the game before, Big Brother All Stars is likely to be the most strategic season ever.

• Big Brother All Stars will be screened on DStv channel 198 from 7 pm on Sunday. Fans can also keep tabs on the show via www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother, Facebook and Twitter.
