AN amount of R80 000 has been put on the table by KwaZulu-Natal police to encourage people to come forward with information on two unsolved murder cases.

A reward of R50 000 has been offered for information to help arrest and convict Shrivaar Panday’s murderers.

The 22-year-old was murdered in November last year in Morningside by unknown men on his way to write his examination at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His attackers stabbed him and he managed to drive to the nearest service station where he died.

Another reward of R30 000 is offered for information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of Garth Pratten’s killers. He was fatally shot by unknown men while sitting in his car at Khuzimpi Road, opposite Jwayelani Butchery, on October 12, 2014, in Congella, Durban.

Anybody with information on Panday’s death can contact Detective Constable T.C. Mthethwa at 071 059 0669 or 031 203 7388. Warrant Officer J.P. Bolley can be contacted for Pratten’s death at 082 707 2568.
