Rugby: James likely to return to sharks on loan

GOLDEN Lions’ Butch James could be returning to the Sharks on loan next season, while Western Province yesterday confirmed that Elton Jantjies will join the Stormers on loan for Super Rugby next season.

James is expected to provide back-up for Pat Lambie during the Super Rugby season, though the agreement has still to be finalised.

After weeks of negotiations, Jantjies’ lucrative move to Cape Town has been finalised.

Demetri Catrakilis is expected to join the Kings next season — WP coach Allister Coetzee still aims to persude him to stay in Cape Town — while Peter Grant will return from Japan late in February.
