CAPE TOWN — The South African edition of O, The Oprah Magazine will issue its copy in September.

Associated Media Publishing, announced the end of the magazine on Friday.

The South African edition was launched in 2002.

“It was a difficult decision for us and our partner,” said Julia Raphaely, CEO of Associated Media in a statement.

She said the magazine had encouraged readers for 12 years to make the best of their lives and the publishers were grateful for the reader loyalty.

Subscribers will be able to get any of Associated Media’s other magazines for women for the duration of their subscription. The statement said readers will also be able to access information on Oprah.com or the Oprah Winfrey Network on DStv.
