SA to premiere first blacks-only porn movie

SOUTH Africa’s first home-brewed, black-only pornographic movie will be launched around the country from September 30.

Entitled Mapona Volume 1, it is expected to leave pornography fans spellbound as it features black actors, and they do it “South African style”.

Mapona means naked.

Its first launch will be at a Bar 9 in Midrand, Johannesburg, on September 30.

Other events across the country will follow.

Movie producer Tau Morena said KZN people will definitely have their launch in October.

He said Durban will be the best place for such an event.

“For now our PR company is still looking for a suitable venue for the launch,” said Morena.

He said guests at the launch will be treated to short preview of the explicit action, followed by music played by local DJs.

“There are lots of white porn movies in the local adult shops, but there is nothing black. I cannot compare this movie to anything here in South African because it the first of its kind. Our market is expected to be across the continent,” he said.

His movie stars three women and two men, who are between 21 and 28 years old. The movie was shot in a kitchen, bedroom, lounge and a car.

Morena, an IT graduate, was influenced by response to his sondeza.com website, which shows explicit sex. He created it in 2008.

He said getting actors for the movie was easy because he only had to approach the more than 30 000 followers of his website to audition. They responded with enthusiasm.

“We expect that before the end of the year will have three more movies out. Those one will definitely have other races,” he said.

Morena is not concerned about being lambasted by conservatives for creating the pornographic movie.

“There are many people who support the movies, and many who will be against it.

“Those who are against it should stay away from it because it is not made for them,” he said.

The entrance fee to the Johannesburg launch is R150. He said the venue is only catering for 1 000 people. About 400 tickets have already been sold.

“The first 500 people to buy tickets at the entrance will get free copies,” Morena said.
