SA's Nicole will be a show-stopper at Ms World

2010-10-01 00:00

THE performance of her life — that is what reigning Miss South Africa, Nicole Flint is promising as she makes her way to China. There she will represent the country at the ultimate beauty contest in the world, the Miss World Pageant.

The pageant will be held in Sanya China on the Saturday of October 30. However, Flint left the country yesterday having been thoroughly groomed on etiquette, personal branding, leadership, as well as on presenting herself succinctly and articulately.

Flint will strut her stuff in a JJ Schoeman designed ball gown. The designer, who is amongst South Africa’s best and most celebrated in the country, has designed two other Miss World ball gowns previously.

A statement sent by Sun International, who are sponsoring the trip, said Schoeman expected Flint to be a vision in what he described as a “showstopper ball gown which literally shouts ‘Look at me!’ ”

The body hugging, glittery black and silver number was made from imported fabric. The bodice is encrusted with crystals and diamantes. This is complemented by a flowing skirt, with a side slit. Another possible show stopper can easily be Flint doing a traditional dance put together by dance guru Somizi Mhlongo. This she will do clad in a beaded skirt and bodice.
