SA’s top sevens battle it out

2014-10-31 00:00

SOUTH Africa’s top provincial sevens players will battle it out in the Saru Interprovincial sevens tournament that starts today in Saldanha, Western Cape.

A total of 34 teams will take to the fields of West Coast School — 16 men’s and 18 women’s teams.

Today’s matches will determine who progresses into the Cup and Plate sections of the competition on Saturday.

The teams also have a chance to impress both the men and women’s Springbok sevens sides, who will be watching from the sidelines and offering support and guidance.

Last year’s tournament saw the Leopards men and Eastern Province women sides take home the spoils.
