Members of the South African Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu) will gather at Freedom Square at 9 am this morning and march to the KZN Legislature in Langalibalele Street where they will hand over a memorandum to the MEC for Education, Senzo Mchunu, or a representative. The march begins at 11 am.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Joey Jeevan said marchers will proceed from Freedom Square into Old Market Road, left into Langalibalele Street, left into Boshoff Street, left into Pietermaritz Street, left into Peter Kerchoff Street, left into Langalibalele Street to the Legislature.

Road closures on the N3 today begin at 4 am until 4 pm to accommodate the demolition of the temporary pier in the median, which might cause delays.

The N3 north-bound carriageway fast lane will be closed at Ohrtmann Road bridge and the road will open back to two lanes after the Chota Motala bridge.
