FORMER Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Emmanuel “Scara” Ngobese will be laid to his final resting place tomorrow in Germiston.

Ngobese passed away last week Tuesday after a long battle with TB.

According to Scara’s brother, Thabani Ngobese, the funeral service will start at 9 am at the Life Changing World Bible Church in Katlehong before proceeding to Southpark Cemetery, Germiston, at 11 am, where the 29-year-old midfielder will be buried.

Ngobese, who had a bag full of tricks and dazzled many while playing for Moroka Swallows, Tembisa Classic, Benoni Premier United, Hellenic, AmaZulu, Chiefs, Thanda Royal Zulu and United FC.

Meanwhile, the South African Football Supporters Association (Safsa) has launched the “Friends of Scara Condolence Fund” aimed at aiding the Ngobese family financially.

According to Safsa spokesperson Siyabulela Makunga, their organisation — made up of mainly the Premier Soccer League’s biggest club supporters — want the Ngobese family to have direct access and control of the proceeds of the fund by using an account number that will have no middleman.

The account details for The Friends of Scara Ngobese Condolence Fund are as follows:

Bank Name: Standard Bank

Branch Name: Germiston

Account Holder: SS Ngobese

Account Number: 674 781 511.
