Sharks XV’s changes for quarter-final clash

2010-04-24 00:00

MONTY Dumond switches from fullback back to flyhalf for the Sharks XV who host the champions Griquas in today’s Vodacom Cup quarter-final at King’s Park.

The match will be the curtain-raiser to the Super 14 game and kicks off at 2 pm.

The Sharks XV show a number of changes to the team that beat Pampas XV last Friday.

Mark Richards moves to fullback from wing, with speedsters Luzuko Vulindlu and Rosco Specman now out wide.

Waylon Murray shifts from wing to centre in place of Jerome Pretorius while the loss of Michael Rhodes to the senior Sharks side has seen a reshuffle of the loose forward trio Luvuyiso Lusaseni back at eighthman with Justin Downey reverting to flank.

Griquas, with their experience playing in the Currie Cup, have the pedigree and have won the competition in 1998, 2005, 2007 and 2009, and competed in the 1999 and 2000 finals.
