Showcasing unique, quality Zulu art at affordable prices

2010-11-23 00:00

THE annual Echo Craft Bazaar opens in the Edgars Court, Liberty Midlands Mall, on Thursday, showcasing craft from throughout the province and providing shoppers with the opportunity to buy unique craft at affordable prices.

The bazaar, in its 16th year, is known for well-priced items that encourage galleries and retail outlets to buy stock throughout the year, providing many of the crafters with long-term sustainable incomes.

All the craft on show goes through a strict selection process, which keeps the standards high and the craft unique.

The project aims to introduce new items every year, along with the old favourites — beautifully crafted Zulu dolls, scoobie wire bowls and plates and traditional beer pots, among others. This year you can look forward to seeing beautiful glass item from northern KwaZulu-Natal, beaded jewellery from Pietermaritzburg and a wide selection of Christmas ornaments.

The bazaar is open every day until Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. Admission is free and credit card facilities are available.
