Spar10z: PMB dance crew to celebrate Youth Day with extravaganza at city hall

2012-06-15 00:00

PIETERMARITZBURG dance crews Spar10z will be celebrating Youth Day tomorrow with a special extravaganza in the city hall from 11 am to 5 pm.

The event, titled “Spartacus”, will feature a variety of artists, ranging from dance acts and rappers to musicians, producers and DJs.

The main attraction will be in the form of a dance and rap performance by the Spar10z crew.

The group — which is competing in e.TV’s Step Up or Step Out reality show — has been working closely with young people during the past two years, and has collaborated with organisations such as the Youth of Choice, Love2Live, the Whizz Kids Foundation, church groups, learning institutions and children’s homes in KwaZulu-Natal.

Tickets are R25 at the door. Patrons wearing a Spar10z T-shirt or vest get in for R20 and children six and under pay R10.

• Step Up or Step Out airs on Saturdays at 1.30 pm and on Sundays at 6.05 pm. Fans can also follow the group on twitter — @Spar10z_Crew and on their Facebook by liking the “Spar10z” page.
