Stabbed: drunk argument sees young man die

AN argument which started during a drinking spree at a tavern had a fatal ending when a 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday evening.

Bradley Ramsamy was killed shortly after he had an argument with another man at the tavern in Bangalore Road in Northdale at about 3pm. The 20-year-old man, who quarrelled with the deceased, was later charged with murder.

It is alleged that during the quarrel Ramsamy and the murder suspect walking out of the tavern apparently to finish up their differences. While outside the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the deceased on the chest before fleeing the area.

The suspect was arrested in his Woodlands home six hours later. He appeared at the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court.
