Talent Campus at festival

ASPIRANT film-makers have the chance to take part in an intensive five-day programme of workshops and seminars during the 30th Durban International Film Festival this year.

The theme of Talent Campus Durban — Roots and Shoots: Creating a New African Cinema — will focus activities on the development of new partnerships between African filmmakers.

It runs from July 24 to 28 and will be delivered by film professionals.

Talent Campus Durban is organised by the Durban International Film Festival in conjunction with the Berlinale Talent Campus and Berlin International Film Festival, and is supported by the German Embassy in South Africa, the Goethe Institute South Africa and the Economic Development Department in KwaZulu-Natal.

The deadline for applications is March 16.

The 30th Durban International Film Festival, which runs from July 22 to August 2, is organised by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
