MARC Lottering hails from Cape Town and is considered by many to be one of South Africa’s hottest comics. Lottering is the son of a Cape Flats Pentecostal pastor and his colourful upbringing is often reflected in his unique brand of comedy. Other highlights this week:

today: Hawthorne (M-Net, 7.30 pm): with the hospital facing a take-over by a notoriously frugal operating company, CEO John Morrissey pressures Tom and Christina to slash their budgets. Bobbie is in charge of the ER when she finds Maureen McKinley in the parking lot with her semi-conscious mother.

Wednesday: Top Travel (SABC3 8 pm): Jeannie and Janez meet up again in Delhi, India, where they are spoilt with the finest accommodation in the city. Stepping outside their luxurious quarters, Jeannie and Janez receive a cultural shock on the streets of India. They are amazed by the transport system and colourful markets. Jeannie goes sari shopping and finds the most beautiful material, and they visit the Tomb of Huma­yun, one of the finest examples of the garden tomb and a precursor of the Taj Mahal.

Thursday: Top Billing (SABC3, 7.30 pm): the Top Billing team attends the Winelands wedding of Khanyi Dlhomo, gets tips on how to get the perfect beach body from Fame World Fitness Model of the Year and mother of two RiAnne Hall, and how to entertain at home with socialite Loui Fish.

Mask Of Zorro (e.tv, 8 pm): Anthony Hopkins, Catherine ZetaJones and Antonio Banderas star in this film about the legendary romantic hero who instructs his successor while preparing to defeat his arch-enemy and bond with his long-lost daughter.
