Tennis: High schools’ tourney in Maritzburg

EIGHT Midlands teams will be competing in the KZN District High Schools’ Tennis Tournament in Pietermaritzburg over the weekend.

The tournament will culminate in the provincial teams being announced for the upcoming Nationals.

No less than 18 teams are taking part in the U15 and U19 boys’ and girls’ sections and teams come from the midlands, Durban, northern and southern KZN, as well as Zululand.

 

MIDLANDS TEAMS

Boys – U19: Red: Adrian Gorny, Dylan Barnes, Xander Jordaan, Makabongwe Mtiyane. Blue: Myles Arron, Wiaan Luttig, Frank Kusel, Charles Hough.

U15 - Red: Mudiwa Llobell, Ben Philpott, B Kennard, Murray McDonald. Blue: Andrew Darroch, Ferdie Luttig, Pavi Indrajith, Axel Cronje.

Girls – U19: Red: Liezl van Rooyen, Cayleigh Conradie, Melissa van Achterberg, Zandi Thompson. Blue: Kivanya Naidoo, Abby Latimer, Nicole Stone, Courtney Stock.

U15 – Red: Melissa Glutz, Nicky Deenik, Leigh-Ann van den Berg, Cailene Jamaloodeen. Blue: Rachel Barnard, Christie Bradford, Paige Phillips, Jahnara Pillay.
