THE ROCKETS, multiple SAMA nominees, are one of the most successful pop groups to ever come out of South Africa.

The Rockets have built their enviable reputation on their excellent live performances and their versatility has always been a major factor in their continuous popularity. They have the ability to create an instant lively atmosphere and audiences feel it as soon as they start playing.

The Rockets continue to spend more than 6 months of the year performing outside of South Africa. International trips have included numerous performances in Australia, various countries in the Middle East, Seychelles, Morocco and other parts of Africa.

The Rockets have supported many international acts in South Africa. These include Usher, Ronan Keating, Will Young, Patrizio Buanne, Alicia Keys, P.Diddy, Luther Vandross, The Spice Girls, Wet Wet Wet, Billy Ocean, The O’Jays and many others.

The Rockets have performed at virtually every prestigious venue in South Africa. Their amazing versatility enables them to perform to intimate crowds of 100 to packed stadiums of 100 000.

They have had numerous record successes in South Africa and have topped many radio station and official charts with hits like “Gimme A Break”, “Surrender”, “Pappa Please Come Back Home, "Thank You Thank You, "Back II The Hits, “Dreaming of You” and "African People. ‘Namakwa Daisy” and Ek Is Lief Vir Jou”, taken off their first Afrikaans CD, are currently receiving extensive airplay on RSG.

The Rockets are more than just a group, they’re a musical institution! They remain one of South Africa’s hardest working bands and most successful r&b/pop groups. They have a stunning visual appeal, their playing is top notch and their songs are fresh and fulfilling. They perform to over 500 000 people annually and continue to add to the almost 3 000 000 kilometres that they have already travelled within Southern Africa and abroad.
