The sky is the limit for this duo

2012-06-16 00:00

TWO friends, Lindo Dlamini (29) and Sphume Mayeni (21), who met in a taxi and shared a vision of starting a media business, now co-own the Bluesky media company in the city. They established their company in 2010 and say it is doing well and that they now employ four people. They started their business as they were both unemployed. They say their secret to success is delivering on time and keeping their customers happy so that the business can grow.

Mayeni, who manages the finances of the company, said: “After matric we started this business and now I am planning to register with the University of South Africa for a degree in finance, so I can do better in this industry. Dream it, wake up, live it.”

Dlamini who has a certificate in film production and public relations, is enthusiastic about Bluesky. He said young people must start doing things for themselves as there is a high rate of unemployment. “We must not wait for government or big companies to hire us, but we need to start doing things for ourselves that will make our lives better.”
