Three-day challenge: More weather woes

2012-02-11 00:00

JUST 25 of the scheduled 100-odd overs were bowled on the second day of the Provincial Three-Day Challenge fixture between KZN Inland and Griqualand West at the Maritzburg Oval yesterday, which leaves the chances of a positive result in this match dead in the water.

Griquas took their total to 242 for five after just 66 overs. Inland seamer Rudi Hillermann trapped Adrian McLaren in front without the captain adding to his overnight tally of 54. Griquas’ Niel Bredenkamp and Griffin Nieuwoudt scored in adding 50 for the fifth wicket.
