Today’s South Coaster

2011-04-11 00:00

JUSTIN Nzimande is the CEO of the South Coast Development Academy, an organisation that focuses on developing soccer skills among youngsters. The Witness asked him about his job.

What inspired you to start the academy?

It was the love of soccer and lack of useful places that focus on soccer development for young boys.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

We see ourselves as a well established soccer academy with 100 to 150 players, with proper facilities and equipment for better development for both the players and our technical staff.

How can aspiring boys join the academy?

Luckily we are always looking for new talent. They can call us at 078 304 8645 for trials, but as an academy that deals with young boys below the age of 18 we normally prefer parents or guardians to call … and we deal with the boys after we sort everything with the parents first. They can also interact with us via Facebook, southcoast developmentacademy or at scdacademy.co.za

What is the one thing you cannot live without?

My laptop.

What improvements would you like to see?

Better facilities for development of all sports, not just rugby or cricket.

Describe yourself in three words?

Ambitious, visionary and a winner.

Which is your favourite place in the South Coast?

Shelly beach.

If you were president for one day what would you do?

Try to bring petrol and food prices down.
