Twilight Saga: Fans thrilled OVER finale

2012-11-17 00:00

THERE was much excitement and anticipation among “twihards” yesterday, ahead of the release of the final instalment of the Twilight Saga.

Fans have waited almost a year to see how the story ends.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiered in cinemas across the country yesterday, and Pietermaritzburg fans flocked to Liberty Midlands Mall to get their last dose.

“I am super excited. I have read all the books. I think I read the fourth one twice,” said Alex Neumann (15).

Her friend, Ashley Richardson (14), couldn’t suppress her excitement, but said she was very emotional about the final movie.

From the reaction of the audience inside, made up of young and older viewers, the movie clearly didn’t disappoint. The cinema was filled to capacity and there were “oohs” and “ahhs” and tears. The crowd applauded as the credits rolled.

“It was amazing,” said Sloan Lang, who had tears in her eyes.

Her friend, Lauren Sturgess was emphatic: “This was the best movie ever!”

Lucia Msomi expressed a common wish: “I really wish there was another movie coming out. I’m curious to know what happens next.”

Others were not as enthusiastic.

Nicole Player (15) remarked: “It is not realistic”. Plus, she thinks lead actress Kristen Stewart is “very annoying”.
