2013-07-13 00:00

TWO men — one of them a newspaper deliverer — were shot dead in Imbali and kwaPata respectively in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said Siphamandla Ndlovu (22) had just left home to conduct his daily newspaper delivery rounds when he was shot by an unknown person around 3 am.

“A neighbour who also left for work a short while later found Ndlovu’s body and immediately informed his mother and police,” Zwane said in a statement.

Earlier, police had to attend to another crime scene where a man was shot dead in Imbali Unit J.

The deceased has not been identified yet. Zwane described him as being about 34 years old and fair in complexion.

“He is of slender build, approximately 1,6 metres in height, has short black hair and was cleanly shaven.

“He was wearing a pair of blue jeans, a navy coat and white takkies with red stripes,” said Zwane.

The motives for the attacks are still unknown.

Zwane appealed to anyone with information to contact Captain Musa Ntombela from the Plessislaer police station at 033 398 9730 or at 082 417 2753.

People can also give information anonymously on the Crime Stop helpline at 086 0010 111.
