United vs Pirates: Tickets selling out fast

2009-04-02 00:00

KEY Ivorian striker Brice Aka will be the only player unavailable for Maritzburg United in their big Premier Soccer League match against Orlando Pirates at Woodburn Stadium on Wednesday night (7.30 pm).

Aka is suspended having picked up his third yellow card in United’s 2-1 victory over Wits University on March 24. With such a big gap since United’s last game, the team have a clean bill of health going into their meeting with the Buccaneers, apart from long-term injury Justice Sithole who is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Pirates had injury concerns over defenders Innocent Mdledle and Lehlohonolo going into their meeting on Sunday with Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium.

Tickets are selling out fast for Pirates’s first-ever PSL match in Pietermaritzburg , and by yesterday more than half of the 1800 grandstand seats had been sold.

A total of 8 000 tickets are available for the all-ticket game.

Open stand tickets (R25) are available at Shoprite/Computicket and SuperSave in Retief Street and grandstand tickets (R30) from SuperSave and the club offices at 397 Victoria Road. People buying grandstand tickets at the club office can also buy a discounted United jersey at R120.
