2009-01-13 00:00

THEATREGOERS can look forward to another week of cracking performances as the Musho Festival enters its final week at the Catalina Theatre and Bat Centre in Durban.

On stage today and tomorrow are Women Who Wait and Sounds from Here. The former is a story of love, life and hope in times of hopelessness. Written and directed by Zuki Vutela, the play is performed by Senamile Zuma. It can be seen at the Bat Hall Theatre at 8 pm on both days.

Sounds from Here concerns the complex life of an Israeli-Arab woman played out through intense physical theatre. The show is inspired by the archetypical Cassandra who was doomed to tell the truth but never to be believed. Created by Dorit Weintal and performed by Rasha Jahshan, it can be seen at the Catalina Theatre at 8 pm today and tomorrow.

From Thursday to Sunday, the programme includes Between Cup and Lip, Conversations with your Ex, Cell No 4, The Sepia Seamstress, Biographies of a Blue Monkey and Gods, Fate and a Librarian.

For more information about the festival, phone the Catalina Theatre at 031 305 6889 or visit www.mushofestival.co.za to see the festival schedule. Tickets are available at www.strictlytickets.com or www.goingplacessa.co.za or www.goingplacessa.com or from Thandeka at the Catalina Theatre at 031 305 6889.
