Voter education TV quiz a world first

2011-05-05 00:00

IN a world first for voter education, the game show The Right to Win will be aired on SABC2 on Saturday at 12.30 pm.

The Right to Win takes contestants through three rounds of fun and interactive games to test their knowledge on democracy and voting issues, and each week the last contestant standing wins R10 000.

Gillian Brollo of Kagiso TV said yesterday that it is a fast-paced game and quick eliminations ensure that it is competitive and edgy. She said the game has wide appeal for both young and old and those watching will be able to test their own knowledge on democracy.

The game was created by Kagiso TV & Communications with Endemol SA, who were commissioned by SABC in partnership with the Independent Electoral Commission as part of its democracy education drive.
