Water shutdown in Howick area

GEENDALE, Howick and surrounds will be without water tomorrow, due to a planned shutdown from 7 am to 6 pm.

uMgungundlovu spokesperson Mbali Ndlovu said the shut down was to conduct routine maintenance.

Work will be conducted by Umgeni Water and will involve maintenance of the reservoirs, pump stations and other infrastructure. She urged consumers to store water that they can use during the water shutdown. She said that water tankers will be deployed in all the affected areas throughout the day.

“uMgungundlovu District Municipality and Umgeni Water apologise for the disruption and inconvenience caused,” Ndlovu said. — Witness Reporter.

• Affected areas include:

Plane Crescent, Hayfields Road, Tweedie Road,

Hyslop Crescent, Cooper Crescent, NCS, Petronet, Old Main Road, Sunfield home, Kwik Spar, Paddock body corporate and the Department of Water
