DBN ART: Durban University of Technology’s gallery on the Steve Biko campus is hosting the exhibition 12 Years And Beyond’ curated by Mphapho Rangoato Hlasane, to coincide with the “art and social justice” conference at DUT until April 1.

DBN THEATRE: Comedian Mark Banks joins the Centrestage All-Star Band in the show,The Crazy 80’s Centrestage!, at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre at UKZN Durban, until April 7. A light-hearted look back at the decade that spawned lycra, bad taste, outrageous fashion and the mullet hairstyle. Tickets start at R95, at Computicket.

PMB ART: Nicky Chovuchovu’s exhibition, ­African Colour Notes, is at the Tatham Art Gallery until April 27. Chovuchovu will spend time at the gallery as an artist in residence today and tomorrow between 11 am and 3 pm.

DBN THEATRE: The whimsical plays Miracle, by celebrated South African playwright Reza de Wet, is at the Square Space Theatre at the University of KwaZulu-Natal until April 11. See it Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30 pm at the Square Space Theatre and at 3 pm on Sunday. Tickets: R100 (R80 students and pensioners) at Computicket.

DBN MUSIC: UKZN masters student Prince Bulo performs original jazz compositions and arrangements for tenor saxophone, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass and drums at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at UKZN today at 5.30 pm. Tickets: R20 (R10 students).

DBN ART: Durban Art Gallery is hosting the exhibitions Under the Umdoni Tree: The Art of Omar and Ebrahim Badsha, until March 31; and Dialogue Among Civilisations, curated by Candida Pestana, which juxtaposes responses from visual artists and poets on issues of ­social justice. Also at the gallery is the ­exhibition Suitcases of Memories, which ­features suitcases made by refugees.

DBN POETRY: Nowadayz Poets is a poetic fusion of young minds looking for a platform for expression. They meet in the functions room at the Bat Centre from 5 pm to 7 pm. For more information phone 031 332 0451 or 031 332 2079.
