Food and wine

The format is two dinners and a luncheon, all featuring wines from the very highly-rated Bordeaux property, Chateau Palmer. On March 20, there is a five-course gourmet dinner prepared by executive chef Leanne Roberts, with a vertical tasting of Alter Ego, a wine from Chateau Palmer that is designed for younger drinking. On March 21, there is a gourmet luncheon alfresco featuring some lesser-known, limited-release wines from Chateau Palmer — a white wine and the Historical XIX Century blend. There will be classical music provided by Hristo Khardjiev of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra. On the evening of March 21, there will be a gala black-tie dinner with a gourmet five-course menu, featuring the Chateau Palmer — a wine of great complexity, depth of flavour and character. Various packages are on offer, ranging from individual event bookings to one that comprises two nights’ accommodation at Granny Mouse, all meals with wines, pre-dinner cocktails, Champagne on arrival, gifts, teas and a complementary spa treatment, round of golf or trout fishing.
