Witness Craft Bazaar

2012-11-21 00:00

WITH just a week to go before the opening of the Witness Craft Bazaar at the Edgars court at Liberty Midlands mall, stock has been pouring in from far and wide, bringing the widest selection to our readers at affordable prices.

The bazaar, which opens on tomorrow at 9 am, and is open until 6 pm on Monday, December 3, is celebrating 18 years of bringing top quality craft to Pietermaritzburg at affordable prices.

The range is varied; from traditional collectors’ beer pots, or ukhamba, to beaded necklaces and grass whisks, to the latest in high fashion shwe shwe sandals.

Handbags in a range of colours, in shwe shwe and waxed fabrics, crocheted, knitted and made of felt, are all available, while men can choose from a selection of wallets in fabrics and leather, leather hats and shoes, keyrings, garden decor and a wonderful selection of stuffed monsters and toys for children.

This year’s bazaar has something for everyone.

If you’re shopping for gifts, there are beautiful knitted scarves from a group based in Mooi River, stunning chic tableware, scoobie wire bowls and jewellery.

There are also some stunning ceramic items, which are new to the bazaar and are sure to become collector’s items.

So whatever happens, make sure you get to the bazaar next week and snap up some of these fantastic items at bargain prices, and know that you are supporting crafters in our province.
