Woman held for ‘hit’ on principal

2013-11-25 00:00

A WOMAN has been arrested in Kranskop for allegedly hiring hit men to kill her brother in law, a school principal.

The woman and two alleged hit men were arrested this past weekend for the murder of school principal Bongumusa Ngubane (53) last month. The three, aged between 32 and 40, will appear at the Kranskop Magistrate’s Court today.

The police believe a family feud was behind the attack.

Ngubane was at home at Kranskop when he was allegedly attacked and shot by three suspects. He was rushed to hospital for treatment, but later died of his injuries.

The woman was also found in possession of two firearms, a shotgun and a rifle. Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said the woman will face an additional charge of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
