Women's Day at the Mall

2010-08-02 00:00

THE annual Liberty Midlands Mall Women’s Day celebration at the Edgars court next Saturday evening is set to dazzle the guests.

The programme, which is hosted by Ingrid Roberts of Insights and Inspirations fame, includes performances by the award-winning Maritzburg College Quartet and a celebrity appearance by Ipeleng Mkhari, former Destiny cover girl and one of South Africa’s top businesswomen. Also, two local “sheroes” will take to the stage to share their stories of triumph.

The event will also raise funds and awareness for a nominated charity. This year the beneficiary is Padca, which runs the Riverside home in Pietermaritzburg and provides care for the aged.

The organisation is involved with several outreach projects and has recently established support groups that take care of elderly persons who are unable to move into a frail care facility.

Every ticket-holder will receive a gift from Clinique valued at R275 as well as a goodie bag.

Booking is essential.
