‘Woz’phola’ challenge: fun for all at ‘Witness’ football event

2010-09-22 00:00

MARITZBURG businesses are urged to enter the Witness Woz’oPhola Corporate Soccer Challenge — a fun day of football, music and fun. The event will be held on Sunday, October 17, at the Alexandra Park outer fields, next to Harry Gwala Stadium, from 8 am to 5 pm. The challenge is open to all companies, big or small, as well as to municipal and government departments. The top teams will take home branded football kit and the winning team will get R3 000 in prize money, a trophy and medals, with R1 500 and medals for the runners-up.

Bring the family and join the fun at this free event, spiced up by top DJs like Msizi Shembe of iGagasi 99.50.

Corporate hospitality marquees will be available for companies who want to entertain their clients and employees.

“The event will act as an end-of-the-year function for some of the companies,” says organiser Mbuso Madondo.

“So bring your braai stand, some meat and refreshments and come and chill with friends at our first-ever ‘phola’ experience in the park, with The Witness and other sponsoring companies …”

To book your team in the challenge and to book a marquee, call Mbuso Madondo at 082 056 2693 or e-mail Yellodot Events on: yelloevents@gmail.com or call Sbonga Shelembe at 033 355 1165.
