Youth Day: Help transform the city

2009-06-15 00:00

GATHERING Grounds, the sixth annual Youth Day event, hosted by the Combined Fellowship (an affiliate of the KZN Midlands Christian Council), will take place on June 16 at the Protea Sports Complex.

At the event, motivated and inspired youth leaders will be speaking on their determination to challenge and confront the issues they face in their generation, namely HIV/Aids, alcohol and drug abuse, woman and child abuse, violence, crime and unemployment, said Pastor Leslie Chetty.

“The aim is to bring about more awareness to the youth and community with regard to these problems. Youth leaders and pastors will be available to offer counselling should anyone need assistance with these problems.”

The day will be used to challenge those present to transform the city, said Chetty.

“The day begins with a fun run at 7 am with fun activities planned for the rest of the day. Lots of prizes are up for grabs. Make it a fun day for the whole family by coming along with your gazebo and lunch packs.”

Contact pastors Daya Chetty at 083 454 8362 and Lee Rajah at 083 362 1673 for more information.
