DRC: 2 election officials killed

Kinshasa - Two election officials were killed early on Monday by a drunken soldier the day after elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to the Independent Election Commission and the army.
They said the officials died at a polling station in the northeast of the country.
According to election commission spokesperson Dieudonne Mirimo: "Two agents were killed by a soldier at 04:00 in Fataki", a town located some 60km northeast of Bunia, the regional capital of Ituri.
Captain Charles Boeka, an liaison officer based in Ituri, said: "The soldier has been arrested. An investigation is scheduled for today."
