DRC prime minister quits

Kinshasa - Democratic Republic of Congo's Prime Minister, Antoine Gizenga, said on Thursday he was resigning because of his advanced age.

"I've decided today to present my resignation to the president," Gizenga, who is in his 80s, said in a statement broadcast on state television.
