World champion's home robbed

Maputo - A group of criminals have forcibly entered the Maputo home of Mozambican world athletics champion, Maria Mutola, and made off with 11 birds considered to be rare species.
Mutola was quoted as confirming the robbery in a local newspaper, O Popular, on Tuesday.
The paper said Mutola who was not at her home in Matola, Maputo, at the time of the robbery could not give further details.
It was not immediately possible to get the value of the birds.
However, she told the paper that she would either replace the birds considered to be her priceless possessions or she would reward anyone who returned the birds alive.
