Mogadishu - Aid workers in Somalia have held crisis meetings over growing insecurity and the unexpected killings of humanitarian staff, Reuters had reported.
Unknown gunmen had killed three aid workers this year and were holding four of their foreign colleagues hostage. According to sources, most agencies working in Somalia were discussing suspended operations in Mogadishu and the south.
A week ago, gunmen killed Osman Ali Ahmed, the head of the United Nations Development Programme , in a similar attack.
