Nairobi - Police chasing protesters in the Rift Valley town of Eldoret fired teargas into the emergency wing of the main hospital there on Thursday, striking a security
guard, a hospital official said.
"The police wanted to force their way in and when the security officers restrained them, they fired teargas and hit a security officer on the nose and he fell down," said an official at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, who declined to be named.
