Genocide suspect freed

Stockholm - A Swedish court on Thursday released a former Somali militia commander accused of war crimes, citing insufficient evidence.
The Goteborg district court said the evidence against Abdi Hassan Awale was not strong enough to keep him detained on allegations of genocide in Somalia in the 1990s.
Awale was immediately set free, his lawyer said.
