Johannesburg - Seven people, including a 54-year-old woman, were arrested on Monday in connection with a double murder in Upper Ngquneya, Eastern Cape police said.
Senior Superintendent Bonisile Sigobe said the male victims were found in a bush in Upper Ngquneya, near King William's Town, by a passer-by on Sunday afternoon.
"The men had sustained bullet wounds and we are not too sure exactly how long their bodies had been lying there."
However, police suspect the crime might have taken place earlier that day.
On Monday morning, police took the woman in for questioning and upon further investigation six men were arrested.
Police said the six suspects were "linked" to the crime and were also found in possession of four bags of dagga valued at an estimated R456 000. The murder weapon was not found and police had not established the motive for the crime.
Sigobe said the victims had been identified but police were still trying to reach their next-of-kin.
The suspects were due to appear in court shortly facing charges of double murder and possession of dagga.
