London - Zimbabwe's Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai says he hopes to convince exiles that his country's coalition government is improving a dire humanitarian and economic crisis.
Wrapping up a tour of the United States and Europe, Tsvangirai said on Monday in London that reforms were being carried out. He said his power-sharing government with President Robert Mugabe was not perfect, but "a workable arrangement".
Tsvangirai hoped to persuade many of the one million Zimbabwean exiles in Britain to return.
He held talks on Monday with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and opposition Conservative Party leader David Cameron.
Brown pledged 5 m pounds ($8.2m) in new aid for food security projects and textbooks.
