Johannesburg - A Mozambican man in his late 30s was arrested after being found with Mandrax valued at R3.75m at the Lubombo border post in Mpumalanga on Thursday, police said.
Police followed up on a tip-off and arrested the man who was driving from Mozambique to South Africa in a double cab bakkie, said Superintendent Abie Khoabane.
The vehicle was searched and 75 bags, each containing 1 000 Mandrax tablets, were recovered.
The man will appear at the Tonga Magistrate's Court to face charges of dealing in drugs.
This was the third drug bust at the border post in a month.
