Rabat - Arab investments in Morocco soared from US$12.8m in 2002 to $672.1m last year, the fastest increase in the region, news reports said on Monday.
The finance ministry quoted a report by the Arab Institution for Investments Guarantee saying Morocco attracted the most Arab investments after Lebanon, which drew $850m.
Analysts said Arab investors were moving from Western countries to Morocco because of measures in the West to counter Arab terrorism.
Investments among the Arab states were estimated at $3.72bn by the end of 2003, up 27.8% from the previous year.
