18 killed in Algeria

Algiers - Islamic extremists killed 18 members of the Algerian security forces in an ambush south of the capital Algiers, the daily newspaper L'Expression said on Wednesday.
The attack took place in the early hours of Monday in the region of Biskra, about 420km from the capital.
