Uganda willing to arrest al-Bashir

Kampala - Uganda says it would arrest Sudan's president in accordance with an international warrant if Omar al-Bashir enters the country.
Minister of State for International Affairs Henry Oryem Okello spoke on Monday after meeting with the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo.
Okello's statement is unusual as African leaders at a summit earlier this month agreed to refuse to extradite al-Bashir. Sudan and other Africans said it was a signal to the West that it shouldn't impose its ways on Africa.
Still, some said there was strong opposition to the summit's decision.
The ICC charged al-Bashir with war crimes and crimes against humanity for allegedly orchestrating murder, torture and rape in Darfur.
