Libya frees two Swiss citizens

Bern - The Switzerland foreign ministry says Libya has released two Swiss citizens who have been detained amid a diplomatic row over the arrest of Muammar Gaddafi's son.
The ministry said a Libyan judge ordered the men freed on bail on Tuesday and that the men were in the Swiss embassy in Tripoli.
The two were detained after Swiss authorities arrested Hannibal Gaddafi and his wife in Geneva earlier this month. The couple were later released and returned to Libya.
The episode prompted a series of diplomatic recriminations that included Libya halting its oil shipments to Switzerland.
The Swiss foreign ministry said efforts to ease the tension between the two countries continued.
