Brussels - Belgian carrier SN Brussels Airlines has cancelled its flights to Abidjan "until further notice" due to unrest in the Ivory Coast, a spokesperson said on Friday.
"We are following the situation very closely, but in the current circumstances we cannot provide the flights to our normal standards," he said, referring to a week of violence which has left expatriates scrambling to leave.
SN Brussels, which succeeded Belgian national carrier Sabena when it went bankrupt three years ago, normally flies four times a week to the Ivorian capital: on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
